The Goals of Supervision
Clinical supervision services provide essential support and guidance for professionals in the mental health field. These services focus on enhancing the skills and competencies of practitioners through regular oversight, feedback, and collaboration. By a safe and reflective environment, clinical supervision helps ensure high-quality care for clients while promoting professional growth and ethical practice among supervisors and supervisees. Whether you're a seasoned therapist or new to the field, clinical supervision is a vital resource for ongoing learning and development.

Supervision is a crucial process designed to enhance the professional development and effectiveness of practitioners. Key tasks involved in supervision include providing guidance and support, evaluating clinical practices, facilitating reflective discussions, and ensuring adherence to ethical standards. Supervisors also assist in goal setting and skill development, helping supervisees navigate challenges and improve their therapeutic techniques. Ultimately, supervision fosters a collaborative learning environment that benefits both practitioners and their clients.

Our office supports Clinical Supervision to Clinicians working to complete their hours in order to obtain their full licensure status in the State of Michigan, or Interns working to complete their Practicum/Internship requirements to satisfy degree requirements prior to graduation. Supervision can occur in the capacity of weekly supervision for Clinicians desiring to work at our office providing therapy services to patients, as well as to Clinicians working at other clinics, seeking outside supervision opportunities.

For Interns seeking a Practicum/Internship site, we have coordinated with several Universities to coordinate this opportunity! Our Supervisors meet the criteria necessary for our site to be approved by your educational institution, allowing for a smooth transition into gaining practical skills in the development of competent counselor identity, without the added stress of worrying about site approval.

If you are looking for a Supervisor that provides support, guidance, coordination, and compassion, contact our office to set up an appointment with our Clinical Director, to determine if our supervision services meet your needs.
