Group Therapy Services

Group therapy offers several benefits, including the opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges, which can foster a sense of belonging and support. Participants can gain diverse perspectives and insights that enrich their understanding of issues. Additionally, sharing experiences in a safe environment can enhance communication skills and build confidence. Overall, group therapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth and healing.

Nurturing Parents Group (Coming Soon)

Nurturing play a crucial role in supporting their children's mental health. They create a safe and loving environment where open communication is encouraged allowing children to express their feelings and concerns. By demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding, nurturing parents help foster resilience and emotional well-being, equipping their kids with the tools they need to navigate life's challenges. This positive foundation not only strengthens the parent-child bond but also promotes healthy development and self-confidence.

This group will focus on parenting skills to assist with daily challenges of raising children. This group is appropriate for individuals that are required to complete a parenting skills course for Court, Probation/Parole, Child Custody Matters, CPS, or for improved parenting skills.

Trauma Reboot

Trauma Reboot is a 12-week course focused on healing through experiences of trauma throughout the lifetime. This group is individualized each session, focusing on either female only, male only, and co-ed groups. Each 12-week cycle has a different aspects of trauma. This group is free for participants, and is provided either virtually or in person at our office. Participants must be 18+. If you are interested in joining the next session of Trauma Reboot, you can call the office (810) 285-8429 or email bcrow1@rootedinlovellc.com to join the list.

Our newest 12-week cycle begins on March 4, 2025. The group will be held on Tuesday's from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Participants can join in person or virtually using a google meet link that will be sent the week prior to the group start date!

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a specialized form of-behavioral therapy designed to help individuals manage intense emotions and improve interpersonal relationships. Our DBT services focus on teaching skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. By providing a supportive environment and practical tools, we empower our clients to navigate life's challenges and build a more fulfilling life. Whether you're struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, or relationship issues, our DBT program can provide the guidance and support you need.

Our DBT program consists of a 12-week cycle of group therapy once per week, combined with individual therapy sessions once per week for all participants. Groups will be age-appropriate, and at times may be gender specific. 

​

Each group will focus on Adolescents 12-18, or Adults 18+. 

​

Our first group cycle of DBT will begin on March 5, 2025. Group will be held in person at our office on Wednesday's from 4:00pm-5:30pm. This first DBT group will be focusing on Adults 18+ at this time. 

​

Our DBT facilitators are trained in DBT practices, and specialize in this specific evidenced-based treatment modality. 

Kristine Khuenle-Denooijer and Debra Strong will be our DBT facilitators.

Thinking Matters Group (Coming Soon)

Welcome to Thinking Matters, a dedicated problem-solving group where innovative minds come to tackle challenges and explore new ideas. Our mission is to foster collaboration and critical thinking, empowering each member to contribute their unique perspectives. Thinking Matters looks at high-risk decisions, working through a series of problem-solving strategies to focus on healthy decision-making to avoid potentially harmful consequences. Thinking Matters is an Anger Management Group that will serve individuals that are required to complete an Anger Management course for Court, Probation/Parole, Child Custody Matters, CPS, or for improved communication skills.  Join us as we engage in stimulating discussions and develop practical solutions that make a difference. Let's think creatively and solve problems together
